Pom Info
Our new Pom Program is a spin off from our existing Hot Kix Program. Pom dancing focuses on precise, synchronized motions along with technical dance skills (such as jumps, turns, and leaps). Routines can encompass various styles of dance and will be geared towards a jazz style with some smaller amounts of Kick possibly worked in. Pom focuses a lot on formations and visual elements as well. It is energetic and fun to perform and to watch!
- Rehearsals will take place on Sunday afternoon/evenings and will be approximately one hour in length
- All dancers on a Pom Team are also required to register for a weekly recreational class in either Tap/Jazz, Ballet or Lyrical to ensure they are receiving technique and training regularly.
- Pom teams are open to ages 8 and up.
- Teams will attend 3 regional competitions each season that have a Pom specific category. We will also attend a Nationals competition every other year- we will choose a Nationals that is held in the MN or WI area.
- Pom teams will have additional performance opportunities throughout the season such as performing in community events, fundraisers, assisted living facilities, etc.
